Snail project

This is part of the project we started some weeks ago when we found two snails. We were astonished by their presence in the school so we decided to take a deeper look towards this animal. In the Assembly, we used the Thinking keys to talk about their habitat and their characteristics. We learn to listen, to respect others, to give our opinion and to contrast our ideas. We also worked on creative thinking by trying to guess what was hidden behind some post-its. Another day, in Psico we imitated their movement and this is how we connected the project to gross motor skills. Instead, to link it to fine motor skills, we used plasticine to create snails. It was so much fun! Some days ago, we found a slug in the playground and we used it to discuss about the relation between these two molluscs. This project is the perfect opportunity to learn, to develop our fine and gross motor skills and to train our critical and creative thinking. We will keep you informed of how it evolves and what we learn from it.
